Returning for its highly anticipated Sukkur Chapter on February 25-26, 2025, the Pakistan Literature Festival (PLF) is a much-awaited event. The event, which is being co-sponsored by Sukkur IBA University and the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi, is an attempt to honor Sindh’s rich literary and cultural heritage while also encouraging the next generation of creatives.
Under the banner of “Youth is the Only Way Forward,” this year’s event will highlight the influence that young people may have on the future. Thousands of writers, poets, academics, and their families turned out for PLF 2023’s Sukkur edition, making a lasting impression. Pakistan’s rich literary history was brought to life through stimulating panel discussions, engaging poetry recitals, theatrical performances, and cultural exhibitions.
The previous success of the festival was attributed, according to Prof. Dr. Asif Ahmed Shaikh, Vice Chancellor of Sukkur IBA University, to the vision and strong leadership of Mohammad Ahmed Shah, President of the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi. Working in tandem, they have planned an even grander and more consequential version for the year 2025.
Dr. Shaikh took great delight in these endeavors because they helped to cultivate Sukkur’s cultural landscape and solidify the city’s position as a center for creative and intellectual discourse in Sindh. A dynamic platform for storytelling and cultural exchange will be created by connecting literary and media giants with aspiring talent in this chapter.
Powerful discussions will be sparked, and Pakistan will be showcased as a place of literary genius at PLF Sukkur 2025, thanks to its enthusiastic environment and dedication to promoting creativity. In February, be ready to get swept up in a merriment of literature, philosophy, and the arts!Â
