Maryam Ishtiaq brings Pakistani flair to Gordon Ramsay’s cooking show

The renowned Gordon Ramsay is hosting the fourth season of Next Level Chef, and Pakistani-American chef Maryam Ishtiaq is one of the guests. The Dallas-based private chef and content developer Maryam was chosen from among hundreds of ambitious cooks to participate on this esteemed platform. A “dream come true,” Maryam wrote on Instagram as she shared her joy at being chosen to represent her community and demonstrate her talents. She was grateful for the opportunity.

Maryam’s journey to selection was devoid of the mundane. She detailed the serendipitous phone call that made her dream a reality, years after she had applied. A number of auditions, interviews, and background checks were part of the stringent procedure. Still, she is overjoyed to be one of the select few since her perseverance paid off.

“I am so proud of the path I’ve created for myself,” Maryam said, reflecting on her prosperous job as a private chef. In addition to her innovative culinary pursuits, she also established the It’s Actually brand of halal bone broth while managing a business. She is now preparing to compete on a global stage and plans to grow and change with each new challenge.

The opportunity to represent a nation, in addition to her own personal achievement, is what excites Maryam the most about this opportunity. Noting that “Pakistanis are showing the world their drive, passion, and culture—it’s truly inspiring to be part of this,” she proudly acknowledged the global impact of Pakistani talent.

Although she was required to remain silent due to confidentiality agreements, Maryam did imply that the other judges, including Gordon Ramsay, were encouraging. Even though the competition is going to be tough, she is determined to enjoy every second of it.

She will continue to accomplish great things. In her ideal world, Maryam would operate a cafe that caters to a wide variety of cultures and diets by providing halal options among its many other dishes. At least until the launch of Next Level Chef on February 13, everyone will be looking up to Maryam Ishtiaq, who exemplifies dedication and passion.
