In an emotional Instagram post, Bollywood director Karan Johar has formally welcomed Ibrahim Ali Khan to the industry. According to the release, Karan would be mentoring Ibrahim, just like he has mentored other famous “nepo babies” before.
Karan reminisced about his connection with Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, Ibrahim’s parents, in his note. He remembered seeing Amrita for the first time when he was twelve years old and noticing her poise and charisma onscreen. In addition, he reminisced about a special moment when she and her hairstylist watched a James Bond film.
While remembering their meeting, Karan gushed about Saif, calling him “young, suave, charming,” and comparing Saif’s charisma to Ibrahim’s natural charisma. Working together on *Duniya*, *Kal Ho Naa Ho*, *Kurbaan*, and *Simmba* for over four decades, Karan has maintained a tight relationship with his family, which he has highlighted.
Johar has stated his desire to assist Ibrahim in making his imprint in Bollywood, adding that creativity is in the family’s DNA. As Ibrahim gets ready to break into the film industry, he teases fans by predicting an exciting future for the actor, telling them to stay tuned for more.
Under Karan’s guidance, the young star is poised to make a significant impact in Hollywood, yet details about his debut film remain undisclosed.Â
