A devastating LPG tanker explosion occurred in Multan’s industrial estate, claiming the lives of 6 individuals and leaving 31 others injured, 13 of whom are reported to be in critical condition. The explosion sent debris flying into nearby homes, causing significant destruction in the area.
According to rescue officials, fragments of iron from the blast fell onto neighboring houses, resulting in the complete destruction of 20 homes and partial damage to over 70 others. The explosion’s intensity also led to the death of several animals and left many individuals with serious burn injuries. Among the victims, authorities confirmed that there was a child and three women. Additionally, gas continues to leak from the tanker, prompting the evacuation of the area for safety.
Emergency response teams quickly worked to control the fire, with 10 fire trucks deploying foam and water to extinguish the flames. Cooling operations are still in progress as authorities assess the situation. Police reported that the force of the explosion was so severe that it affected nearby areas, reducing several homes to rubble.
