Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari has stated that political rivals are intimidated by the significant development projects currently underway in Punjab. During a press conference in Lahore, Bokhari lauded Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for initiating groundbreaking programs that are not only transforming the province but are also being acknowledged by people in other areas of the country.
Bokhari emphasized that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) remains firmly committed to public service, in stark contrast to the opposition’s tendency to foster disruption and chaos. She specifically pointed to the ‘Kisan Card’ initiative, which has provided substantial relief to farmers, making a notable difference in their lives. Additionally, Bokhari revealed plans for a special assistance package for underprivileged citizens during the holy month of Ramazan, a move aimed at alleviating hardships faced by the less fortunate.
Addressing the opposition’s claims regarding the popularity of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, Bokhari remarked that the public has firmly rejected these assertions. She highlighted the widespread discontent with the opposition’s narrative, asserting that the people of Punjab are more focused on progress and development than on divisive politics.
With various development initiatives taking shape, including infrastructural improvements and welfare programs, the PML-N’s leadership in Punjab is positioning itself as a force for positive change, while political rivals appear to be struggling to keep pace with the province’s growing success. Bokhari’s statements reflect her confidence in the government’s direction and its impact on both the province and the broader national landscape.
