Bitcoin rises 2.5% amid Trump’s new regulation announcement

Bitcoin surged by 2.5% on Friday following an executive order on cryptocurrency markets signed by US President Donald Trump.

As of 06:45 GMT, Bitcoin’s price stands at approximately $104,736, with its market capitalization rising to $2.07 trillion. The cryptocurrency’s 24-hour transaction volume reached $100.44 billion.

Earlier this month, Bitcoin hit an all-time high of around $109,000, partly influenced by the market’s reaction to Trump’s inauguration.

Ethereum also saw gains, climbing 4% to $3,381 during the same period.

The price increases follow Trump’s executive order, which outlines the development of regulations and technologies for cryptocurrency advancement in the US. The order includes the formation of a “Working Group on Digital Asset Markets” to assess a national digital asset stockpile.
