Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has secured a groundbreaking foreign investment deal during her recent visit to China, positioning Punjab to receive the fastest-ever foreign investment inflow in just six weeks.
A key highlight of this partnership is the introduction of eco-friendly agriculture and solid waste management through e-mechanization. An MoU was signed between Beijing AI Force Tech and Daewoo Pakistan to use AI-powered machinery for solid waste management. The agreement was formalized with CM Maryam Nawaz in attendance, alongside Dr. Han Wei, CEO of AI Force Tech, and Muhammad Khalid of Daewoo Pakistan.
The collaboration includes setting up an assembly and manufacturing plant for e-agriculture mechanization in Punjab. Notable initiatives under this partnership include:
- AI-driven machinery for farming, such as robotic equipment for transportation and harvesting
- AI-powered machinery for modernizing solid waste management systems
- A 17-acre e-mechanized model farm near Lahore featuring electric tractors, harvesters, and solar-powered systems
- The introduction of driverless electric tractors and charging stations for electric machinery
CM Maryam Nawaz emphasized that this collaboration aligns with Punjab’s commitment to innovation and environmental protection. Dr. Han Wei from AI Force Tech highlighted the significance of AI technology in transforming waste management, aiming to reduce pollution and improve cleanliness standards. This partnership marks a major step toward sustainable progress in Punjab’s agriculture and waste management sectors.
