Attaullah Tarar, Minister for Information and Broadcasting, has criticized Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for abruptly halting the dialogue process with the government.
In an interview with a private TV channel, Tarar stated that PTI’s decision to end the talks without allowing the government time to respond to their demands reflects a rushed and poorly motivated approach. He emphasized that the party should have given the government the chance to address their concerns before the final deadline.
The minister also discussed the passage of the PECA Amendment Bill by the National Assembly, asserting that the government fully supports the legislation. He explained that the bill is aimed at protecting the rights of working journalists and providing more opportunities for the electronic media.
