Jordana Brewster talks upcoming ‘Fast & Furious’ sequel and Dwayne-Vin drama

Jordana Brewster Shares Update on New ‘Fast & Furious’ Sequel, Reflects on Dwayne and Vin’s Feud

Jordana Brewster recently provided a major update about her upcoming Fast & Furious movie while also addressing the ongoing feud between Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel.

Following the premiere of Fast X in 2021, which was announced as the penultimate installment of the franchise, a sequel was confirmed. Discussing the new project, Jordana told Entertainment Tonight that Vin Diesel is deeply committed to the franchise and its creative direction, which is why “new things are always bubbling up.” She also expressed how exciting it is to see the evolution of the story, saying, “It’s wonderful to see the beginning versus what ends up there.”

It’s important to note that Dwayne Johnson returned to the series after his feud with co-star Vin Diesel. Despite starring in the 2019 Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw spin-off, The Rock did not appear in F9 in 2021.

Earlier this month, Vin Diesel made an attempt to resolve the tension with Dwayne during his speech at the Golden Globes. Reflecting on the relationship between her co-stars, Jordana spoke about the dynamic in the Fast & Furious family.

Speaking to ET, the Annapolis actress remarked, “When we keep talking about family, Fast is about family. Families are also dysfunctional, and we’ve got drama. I think the franchise echoes that.”
