A high-level delegation from the International Cricket Council (ICC) visited Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium to review preparations for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, scheduled to start next month.
Led by ICC Head of Events Sarah Edgar and GM Cricket Wasim Khan, the delegation conducted a comprehensive inspection of the venue, including its main building, offices, and pavilion. Members of the broadcasting and event management teams were also present during the visit.
Jawad Qazi, PCB’s Director of Infrastructure, provided a detailed briefing, ensuring that all remaining work at the venue would be completed by January 30.
The eight-team tournament, featuring 15 matches, will be held from February 19 to March 9 across three venues—Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi in Pakistan, as well as Dubai.
Group A includes Pakistan, India, New Zealand, and Bangladesh, while Group B comprises Afghanistan, South Africa, England, and Australia. The tournament will kick off with Pakistan facing New Zealand on February 19 in Karachi, with the much-anticipated Pakistan-India match set for February 23 in Dubai.
