PTI leader Hammad Azhar criticized Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, stating that she had never held a job yet was made the chief of Punjab, the country’s largest province. Azhar announced he was filing a contempt of court plea against the Punjab Inspector General (IG), alleging harassment. He claimed to have faced severe persecution, including raids on his family’s properties. Azhar expressed disappointment in the judiciary’s silence and urged it to act during the country’s crises, citing unprecedented inflation and negative GDP growth forecasts by the World Bank and IMF. He also mentioned reports of an attempted poisoning of Bushra Bibi, the wife of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
