Singer Jawad Ahmad Accused of Assaulting LESCO Team Over Alleged Electricity Theft at Wife’s Beauty Parlor
Renowned singer Jawad Ahmad is facing accusations of attacking a Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) team after his wife’s beauty parlor was allegedly found involved in electricity theft.
An FIR lodged by LESCO Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Muhammad Asghar at Johar Town police station describes the incident during a routine inspection. The LESCO team discovered irregularities with the electricity meter at the beauty parlor, owned by Jawad Ahmad’s wife.
The FIR claims that the singer’s wife contacted him, prompting Jawad Ahmad to arrive at the scene with four accomplices in a black van. During the altercation, Ahmad reportedly seized the electricity meter from LESCO staff member Shahid Khan and handed it to one of his associates, Adeel, who fled with it.
The report alleges that the meter tampering led to considerable financial loss for the national exchequer and disrupted the LESCO team’s duties. Several LESCO employees were injured and required medical attention.
A case has been filed against Jawad Ahmad and his four accomplices, and the police investigation is ongoing.
