Lawmakers in the House of Representatives have initiated a campaign to rename Washington’s main airport to “Trump International Airport” as a gesture of admiration for the former president. Led by Congressman Guy Reschenthaler, the bill aims to honor Trump, whom Reschenthaler considers the best president of his lifetime. Despite having some co-sponsors, the bill faces challenges in passing due to uncertain Republican support and Democratic control of the Senate and the White House. Critics have mocked the proposal, with Democratic congressman Brendan Boyle sarcastically referring to Dulles Airport, the current namesake, as an “old, ugly airport.”
