A second convoy of 45 trucks loaded with food, medicines, and essential supplies is scheduled to depart from Tal to the conflict-affected Kurram district on Tuesday, under tight security, following the clearance of roads, according to district administration sources.
Kurram has been grappling with severe shortages due to prolonged unrest and roadblocks. Deputy Commissioner Ashfaq Ahmed confirmed that relief efforts are ongoing, along with measures to implement a peace agreement between warring tribes.
In Mandori, protesters continue a sit-in, demanding compensation for damages caused by the unrest. Meanwhile, Section 144 has been imposed for two months, prohibiting the display of arms and large gatherings to maintain order.
Authorities are also preparing to dismantle bunkers in Balash Khel and Khar Kali and confiscate weapons used in tribal clashes. These actions, part of the peace agreement, aim to restore stability in the district by February 1.
