FBR set to acquire more than 1,000 new vehicles

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has announced plans to acquire over 1,000 new vehicles as part of a Rs32.5 billion initiative aimed at enhancing its operational capacity.

A formal request has been made to a private car manufacturer for the procurement of 1,010 vehicles, which will be delivered in two phases. The first batch, consisting of 500 vehicles, has received an advance payment of Rs3 billion.

Deliveries will start in January and continue until May. In the first phase, 75 vehicles will arrive in January, followed by 200 in February, and 225 in March. The second phase will see the delivery of 250 vehicles in April and the final 260 in May.

FBR officials note that the new vehicles will improve tax collection efficiency and contribute to the broader transformation of the organization. The Rs6 billion investment is a key step in modernizing FBR’s infrastructure and improving its performance across the country.
