PTI Issues Another Show-Cause Notice to Sher Afzal Marwat for Controversial Statements
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has issued a show-cause notice to party leader Sher Afzal Marwat once again for making statements that go against the party’s position.
The notice demands that Marwat explain his comments against the party’s policy and its secretary-general, Salman Akram Raja. He is instructed to provide a response within seven days and is advised not to appear on any media platform as a party representative or raise further issues during this period.
Earlier, in May 2024, PTI had also issued a similar notice to Marwat for making statements considered irresponsible and damaging to the party’s reputation. The notice, issued by then-PTI Secretary-General Omar Ayub Khan, cited that his remarks violated party discipline and contradicted the directives of PTI founder Imran Khan, who emphasized responsible behavior. Marwat was warned that failure to respond could result in further disciplinary action.
