“Stronger America” – Biden’s Key Message in Last Foreign Policy Address

WASHINGTON: As President Joe Biden prepares to leave office, he will deliver his final foreign policy speech on Monday, highlighting how the United States has become stronger under his leadership compared to the time when Donald Trump left the White House, a senior U.S. official revealed on Friday.

The speech, scheduled to take place at the State Department just one week before Biden’s departure, will focus on several key achievements during his presidency. Biden is expected to emphasize his efforts to fortify the NATO alliance and his administration’s steadfast support for Ukraine amid Russia’s ongoing invasion. Additionally, he will discuss the expansion of U.S. alliances in the Asia-Pacific region, aimed at countering China’s growing influence, and the nation’s efforts to tackle climate change on a global scale.

A senior administration official, speaking anonymously, stated, “When President Biden took office, our alliances had been severely strained. In his speech, President Biden will outline how, through our work, our alliances and partnerships are now stronger than ever.”

Biden will also highlight his unwavering support for Israel, particularly in the face of attacks, but there was no mention of progress toward a peace agreement regarding Gaza in his speech outline.

The 82-year-old president is set to deliver this speech as part of a broader farewell address in the final days of his presidency, which will conclude on January 20, when Donald Trump is expected to return to the White House. Trump, who has already expressed his intention to revive a confrontational foreign policy, has spoken recently about meeting with leaders of U.S. adversaries like Russia and China, while also vowing to end the war in Ukraine quickly, by any means necessary.

Trump’s statements have included threats to reduce U.S. support for NATO and confrontations with traditional allies, including threats against countries like Greenland and Panama.
