Omar Ayub demands the immediate release of Imran Khan.

On Friday, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Omar Ayub called for the immediate release of party founder Imran Khan, as well as other detained leaders and workers. Speaking to the media, Ayub reaffirmed PTI’s position on negotiations with the government, stressing that the party had already presented its demands, which include the release of its members and a judicial inquiry into the events of May 9 and November 26.

He also requested that PTI leaders be granted access to Imran Khan, who has been in Adiala Jail for several months. Ayub condemned the former prime minister’s detention, calling it unlawful and based on baseless allegations.

Ayub pointed out that the country’s uncertainty will persist until the constitution and rule of law are upheld, underscoring Imran Khan’s long-standing commitment to constitutional and legal supremacy. He also criticized the government’s performance, particularly the ongoing gas and electricity shortages during the winter season, despite promises of improvement.
