Zara Noor Abbas Requests Privacy for Daughter Amid Unwanted Social Media Posts
Zara Noor Abbas has expressed her desire to keep pictures of her daughter, Noor-e-Jahan Siddiqui, private and has called on others not to share them without her consent.
In an Instagram story, the actress stated, “If I don’t share pictures of my daughter, it means I want to keep them private. Yet, some people still fail to respect this.”
Abbas requested that people stop posting videos of her child and delete any that have already been shared. She and her husband, Asad Siddiqui, welcomed Noor-e-Jahan on March 27, 2024.
Abbas joins a growing number of celebrities who wish to protect their children’s privacy. This desire is often ignored, even by the media. Indian actress Alia Bhatt, for example, faced similar challenges when her private photos were shared without her permission, as did Anushka Sharma, who shared her frustration over the media’s continued publication of images of her and Virat Kohli’s daughter, Vamika.
Pakistani celebrities like Yasir Hussain and Iqra Aziz also chose to keep their son Kabir’s face hidden for months before finally revealing it on social media. Hussain humorously cited his mother-in-law’s disapproval as the reason behind the secrecy.
Other public figures, like American model Gigi Hadid, have chosen to keep their children’s faces out of the spotlight to shield them from the pressures of media attention. Similarly, makeup artist Natasha Ali Lakhani ensures her daughter’s face is always covered in photos, citing security concerns and personal discomfort with sharing her child’s image.
This pattern is not unique to celebrities. Last year, a viral incident involving Aiman Khan and Muneeb Butt sparked debates about filming people, especially children, without consent.
Whether it’s Zara Noor Abbas or international stars, it’s essential to respect celebrities’ wishes to keep their children’s lives private. The growing trend of photographing underage children without permission raises concerns about privacy and the need to balance public interest with respect for personal boundaries.
