Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif held a meeting with Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb on Monday, expressing determination to steer the country out of its current economic challenges. She emphasized that the finance minister would make decisions beneficial for the people to facilitate economic recovery. Ms. Sharif affirmed her commitment to overcoming the economic crisis, stating, “Together, we will lead Pakistan towards economic stability.”
Later, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif visited the CM and her father, Nawaz Sharif. During the meeting, Mr. Asif discussed the initiation of development projects in his constituency in Sialkot with the chief minister.
Furthermore, the father-daughter duo met with Turkish Ambassador Dr. Mehmet Pacaci to explore avenues for enhanced cooperation. Ms. Sharif underscored the importance of boosting trade between Pakistan and Turkey and highlighted investment opportunities in Punjab across various sectors such as housing, tourism, and solar energy.
She emphasized the provision of a favorable investment environment and incentives in Punjab, encouraging Turkish investors to capitalize on these opportunities. The Turkish ambassador reaffirmed the longstanding fraternal relations between the two countries and expressed commitment to expanding cooperation with the Punjab government across multiple domains.
