Pir Pagara criticizes government over election plans

On Friday, Pir Pagara, leader of the Pakistan Muslim League (F), expressed strong concerns over the disregard for public opinion in the recent elections. He criticized the current government for failing to provide dignity and employment opportunities to the people.

Pir Pagara condemned the contradictory statements made by government ministers, which, in his view, reflected poorly on governance. He also highlighted the severe water crisis in Balochistan, where many areas are struggling with a lack of water even for basic needs.

Commenting on the 2022 floods in Sindh, he pointed out that the water shortage was so extreme that people were struggling to access water even during a natural disaster. “Consider the state of water resources during a normal season,” he said. Pir Pagara also questioned the legitimacy of the February 8 elections and praised the international community for recognizing the questionable conduct of the polls. He warned of serious consequences if immediate corrective measures were not taken to get the country back on track.
