Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called for decisive action against tax defaulters and evaders, directing the removal of legal obstacles hindering the enforcement of the track and trace system. In a high-level meeting, he emphasized the need to enforce the system in key sectors like tobacco, sugar, cement, and fertilizers. The PM highlighted the potential of the system not only in revenue generation but also in identifying counterfeit products. Sharif also instructed the immediate sealing of factories resisting the system and sought assistance from international institutions for its implementation.
