FC soldiers martyred, 4 terrorists killed in Turbat

A soldier from the Balochistan Frontier Corps was martyred, and four terrorists were killed as security forces successfully halted a late-night assault on a naval base in Turbat, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The attack on PNS Siddique was thwarted thanks to swift response by troops, ensuring safety of personnel and assets. During the operation, 24-year-old Sepoy Noman Fareed lost his life. The banned Balochistan Liberation Army claimed responsibility for the attack. This incident follows recent foiled militant activities, including an attack on Gwadar Port Authority Complex, where two soldiers were martyred and eight terrorists killed. Pakistan has witnessed increased terrorist incidents, particularly in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, after the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan ended its ceasefire with the government in 2022. According to a recent security report, there were 97 militant attacks in February alone, resulting in numerous casualties.
