KP CM awaits Imran Khan’s directive to initiate civil disobedience movement

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has announced that the provincial government is ready to launch a civil disobedience movement as soon as it receives a directive from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan.

Speaking to the media at Peshawar High Court, Gandapur confirmed that they are waiting for clear instructions from Imran Khan to proceed. He emphasized that once the call is made, the movement will begin immediately.

“As the representative of the entire province, I don’t need clearance from anyone,” the Chief Minister stated. He also mentioned that he was not allowed to meet with Imran Khan the previous day.

Clarifying earlier statements about the civil disobedience movement, Gandapur explained on Sunday that the idea came from PTI’s founder, not himself. He further added that there is no final decision yet, and the movement will be initiated once clarity is provided.

The Chief Minister also outlined the party’s key demands, which include the release of Imran Khan, restoration of PTI’s mandate, and the reversal of recent constitutional amendments deemed “unconstitutional.”

Gandapur also criticized the federal government for its delayed talks with Afghanistan and warned that if these issues are not addressed, he will take action at the provincial level to resolve them.
