Imran Khan, the Founder Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), stated on Monday that he was willing to spend his entire life in prison but would never submit to the powers he described as the “Yazeed of our time.” Speaking to party workers and lawyers at Adiala Jail Court after completing 500 days of imprisonment, he urged his supporters to remain calm, promising to announce his next course of action soon.
Imran emphasized that patience was key in their struggle for the country’s true freedom and called on his followers to join him in resisting oppression. He condemned the actions of the authorities, recalling the incident in D-Chowk where he claimed unarmed, peaceful citizens were fired upon without provocation. He vowed to bring justice for the martyrs and workers involved.
Imran also raised concerns about the 12 martyrs, stating that many were killed in the darkness after power was cut on November 26. He questioned the whereabouts of the missing individuals, demanding the government reveal their identities and make all relevant data public. He called for an independent judicial commission to investigate the events of May 9 and the November 26 killings, including the involvement of senior Supreme Court judges.
