Pakistan and China collaborate to transform agriculture and healthcare with advanced technology.

Pakistan and China have signed historic agreements to introduce cutting-edge technologies in agriculture and healthcare, facilitated by the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).

The Punjab government signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with China’s AI Force Tech company to introduce AI-powered agricultural machinery in Pakistan. The agreement, finalized during Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s visit to China, aims to transform the agricultural sector by utilizing robotic technology to boost productivity, foster economic growth, and improve the lives of farmers.

Furthermore, the Federal Minister for Planning revealed plans to send 1,000 Pakistani agricultural experts to China for training in advanced farming techniques, further enhancing agricultural innovation.

In the healthcare sector, Punjab also signed an MoU with Hygea Medical Technologies to introduce cutting-edge cancer treatment technology. The new machinery will offer non-surgical and chemotherapy-free treatment options, bringing hope to cancer patients. During her meeting with Dr. Luo Fuliang, President of Hygea Medical Technologies, Maryam Nawaz confirmed the company’s support for the development of the Nawaz Sharif Cancer Hospital, which will utilize these advanced technologies for patient care.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s official visit to China, from December 8 to 15, includes stops in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou. She is attending meetings, events, and conferences to strengthen bilateral ties and explore cooperation in governance, agriculture, technology, and infrastructure development.
