CM Maryam Nawaz visits CPC museum in China, highlights historical legacy

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif visited the Communist Party of China (CPC) Museum today in China, where she was warmly received by the museum officials. During her visit, she and her delegation were given an insightful briefing on the historical development of the CPC.

The CPC Museum offers a visual history of the Communist Party of China, highlighting key milestones from its foundation to the leadership of President Xi Jinping. The delegation was shown significant moments in China’s history, including the Chinese revolution, Mao Zedong’s leadership, the conflicts with the British Army, and the influence of the Russian Revolution on the CPC’s formation.

Maryam Nawaz praised the museum’s digital exhibits, recording her impressions in the guest book and describing the visual portrayal of China’s history as “remarkable and unforgettable.” She commended China for its extraordinary transformation, noting that the CPC Museum vividly captures 130 years of the party’s history. “The evolution of the Communist Party of China has not only changed China but has also impacted the entire world,” she remarked. She also pointed out that China’s development offers a valuable model for developing countries, emphasizing that Pakistan and the world have benefited from China’s significant progress.

Commenting on China’s journey to prosperity, she stated, “China has demonstrated that with sincere leadership and a firm commitment to development, no power can hinder progress.” She also expressed her desire to advance alongside China in the pursuit of growth and development.

During her visit, CM Maryam Nawaz took photographs in front of the museum’s wall murals, showed interest in sculptures of Chinese leaders, and examined artifacts from China’s historical periods. She expressed awe and delight when viewing a sculpture of a CPC leadership meeting and also visited the site of the CPC’s First National Congress.
