Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has established seven cabinet committees, including the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) and the Cabinet Committee on Energy (CCoE), which he will now chair. The ECC will focus on urgent economic matters, coordinating economic policies, and proposing measures for economic growth. The CCoE will address energy-related issues. Other committees will oversee affairs related to airports’ outsourcing, state-owned enterprises, privatisation, disposal of legislative cases, and Chinese projects. Additionally, the Reko Diq feasibility study is expected to be completed by the end of the year, with plans for the project to significantly benefit Balochistan and the region. A delegation of the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) also met with the Prime Minister, reaffirming Saudi Arabia’s support and assistance to Pakistan.
