Lahore’s Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) has rejected the pleas of PTI leaders Yasmin Rashid, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, and others, challenging their indictment in cases involving arson and incitement.
The ATC, presided over by Judge Arshad Javed, conducted the hearing for the May 9 cases at Kot Lakhpat Jail, ensuring the accused were present for the proceedings. However, prosecution witnesses failed to appear to give their testimony, leading the prosecution to request more time for their appearance.
Consequently, the court dismissed the pleas of Rashid, Qureshi, and others regarding their indictment in the arson and incitement cases near Sherpao Bridge. The hearing for the arson case was postponed until the next day.
