Ali Amin Gandapur pledges justice for D-chowk martyrs

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur affirmed that there are no internal disputes within the party and promised that the sacrifices of the D-Chowk martyrs would not be forgotten.

Before addressing the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly session, the chief minister offered prayers for the party workers who lost their lives during the Islamabad protests. He noted that the government had invoked Article 245 to allow military intervention in managing the situation.

Drawing comparisons between the D-Chowk incident and events like Anarkali and Model Town, Gandapur condemned the use of force against protesters. He alleged that firing began at Dado Khail and continued at Chungi 26, reiterating that the protests were aimed at securing the release of their imprisoned leader.

He also highlighted the extraordinary public support for the movement declaring, “We will not allow the sacrifices of our workers to go in vain, and those responsible will be held accountable.”

Gandapur reiterated the government’s dedication to combating terrorism and cautioned the federal government against provoking them to the extent of considering a similar response.

He criticized the Punjab Police, accusing officers of feigning allegiance to Imran Khan for protection, only to later open fire on protesters.

The assembly session, originally scheduled for 7 PM, began three hours late under the chairmanship of Speaker Babar Salim Swati and was adjourned until Monday at 3 PM following Gandapur’s address.
