MNA Engineer Hameed Hussain and members of the Grand Peace Jirga from Kohat Division are on their way to Kurram District, as confirmed by the deputy commissioner.
Reports indicate that the death toll in Kurram District from firing incidents has reached 102, with 138 injured. In the latest clashes, two more individuals were killed, and six others were wounded. On November 21, Muhammad Ali, who was injured in an attack on passenger vehicles in Mandori Ochit, Lower Kurram, died, bringing the death toll from that specific attack to 52.
In the past week, 102 people have died, and 138 have been injured in Kurram District’s firing incidents. The Peshawar-Parachinar highway remains closed to traffic, and internet and mobile services have been suspended, with all schools shut down.
MNA Engineer Hameed Hussain expressed concern over the disruption of vital supplies due to the road closures, urging immediate action to reopen the routes. Deputy Commissioner Javedullah Mehsud confirmed that members of the peace jirga from Kohat Division are arriving to facilitate talks with tribal elders in an attempt to restore peace.
