Punjab Police successfully thwarted a terrorist attack on the Lakhani checkpoint in Dera Ghazi Khan, located at the Punjab-Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) border, in a bold display of courage and swift action. A group of 25 to 30 armed militants launched an assault on the border post using heavy weaponry. The confrontation quickly escalated into a fierce gun battle that lasted for about 30 minutes.
