As PTI convoys resume march towards the capital, Bushra Bibi reaffirms the demand for Imran’s release

PTI convoys resumed their march towards Islamabad on Monday, after being delayed the previous day, with Bushra Bibi, wife of PTI leader Imran Khan, reiterating her call for his release. Addressing supporters near Hazara Interchange, she emphasized the march was not just for her husband but for the country and its leadership. The procession, led by KP CM Amin Ali Gandapur, includes other PTI leaders like Omar Ayub Khan and Babar Saleem Swati. The convoy is slowly advancing toward the capital, facing obstacles from police, including tear gas and roadblocks. PTI claims their protest aims to secure the release of political prisoners, especially Imran Khan, and protests continue despite heavy security in Islamabad. Authorities, citing the visit of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, are determined to prevent the rally’s entry into the capital, with security measures in place to block access to the Red Zone.

PTI has also deployed industrial fans to protect from tear gas, a first in Pakistani political protests.
