Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has formed a committee aimed at strengthening cooperation on political and other critical matters between the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and its ruling ally, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP). The committee has been tasked with addressing and resolving any existing issues between the two parties.
The committee, which comprises prominent leaders from the PML-N, includes Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Law Minister Azam Nazeer, and Minister for Economic Affairs Ahmad Khan Cheema. Other members of the committee are Amir Muqam, Rana Sanaullah, Malik Ahmad Khan, Marriyum Aurangzeb, Saad Rafique, Jaffer Mandokhel, and Bashir Memon.
PM Shehbaz Sharif has entrusted the committee with the crucial responsibility of conducting thorough consultations with PPP leadership to resolve any disputes and ensure smooth political collaboration. The committee’s formation comes in the wake of recent tensions between the two parties, and its objective is to foster better communication and coordination, particularly on policy and governance issues.
In his directive, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of maintaining a stable political environment and addressing any concerns between the coalition partners in a timely and constructive manner. By engaging in detailed discussions with the PPP, the committee will work to resolve outstanding matters and continue to uphold the government’s collective agenda.
