Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar chaired the first meeting of the Steering Committee on the Solarization of Tubewells, addressing the financial burden caused by unpaid electricity bills and illegal usage in Balochistan.
Dar revealed the federal government’s plan to solarize 27,000 agricultural tube wells in the province, with 70% of the funding coming from the federal government.
He emphasized that this initiative is a major step toward adopting renewable energy and enhancing climate resilience, showcasing the government’s commitment to cleaner energy and sustainable development.
