Bushra Bibi cautions PTI leaders ahead of November 24 protest

Bushra Bibi, the wife of PTI founder Imran Khan, issued a strong warning to party leaders on Monday for not adhering to her instructions concerning the upcoming November 24 protest.

In a meeting in Peshawar, the former first lady expressed dissatisfaction with party office-bearers and Members of Parliament (MPs), criticizing them for their lack of commitment in previous protests. Sources reported that she voiced concerns over several leaders abandoning past demonstrations midway.

“Many MPs and leaders did not fully engage in earlier protests,” Bushra Bibi stated. “I have received reports that several leaders left the protests halfway.”

She emphasized that such behavior would not be tolerated this time, asserting, “We will reach Islamabad at any cost,” and warned that “stern action will be taken against party officials who fail to follow the guidelines.”

Meanwhile, senior PTI leader and former National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser reiterated that the November 24 protest is focused on securing the release of Imran Khan. He addressed rumors regarding Bushra Bibi’s involvement, clarifying that while she supports the movement, she has no intention of taking control of the party. “PTI is a political party, not a military force, and our protest will remain peaceful,” Qaiser stated, calling for the release of all PTI prisoners, including Imran Khan.
