Government extends ‘Olive Branch’ to struggling PTI

Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif offered to hold talks with PTI, emphasizing that the door for negotiations remains open, but criticized Imran Khan for seeking dialogue with the establishment instead of politicians. Asif also ridiculed PTI’s upcoming Nov 24 protest, claiming it would fail just like previous rallies, accusing PTI leadership of hypocrisy and abandoning their supporters. He questioned why Imran Khan’s family wasn’t participating in the protest, given their comfortable lives abroad.

Meanwhile, PML-N President Nawaz Sharif dismissed the PTI rally, confident it wouldn’t disrupt Pakistan’s progress. Sharif, who was in London, expressed doubts over the efficacy of PTI’s protests and criticized Imran Khan for tarnishing the country’s reputation during his tenure. He pointed out the lack of significant development projects under Khan’s leadership and reiterated the importance of holding PTI accountable for its actions.
