Hearing today for £190m corruption case involving Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi

A hearing in the £190 million corruption case involving Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, is scheduled for today (Monday). The session will be held at the Islamabad accountability court, overseen by Judge Nasir Javed Rana, with Imran Khan expected to attend from Adiala Jail.

At the last hearing, Bushra Bibi was excused from appearing in court due to medical reasons. During that session, the defense team submitted a written request referencing an oral statement from the Islamabad High Court, indicating that no action would be taken until the acquittal petition was reviewed. Consequently, the judge adjourned the hearing until today.

The £190 million reference originates from a corruption case filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) last year. The NAB alleges that Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi, and others accepted land worth millions as a bribe through the Al-Qadir Trust.
