Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has launched a PKR 3 billion mechanized farming initiative aimed at enhancing onion and tomato production.
This groundbreaking project is the first of its kind in the province and seeks to modernize vegetable farming.
The program will offer a 70% subsidy on agricultural machinery, including planters, pruners, dryers, graders, and pulping units, to support the mechanized farming of vegetables and add value to onion and tomato crops.
The project will focus on onion farming in Lodhran, Multan, and Vehari, while tomato cultivation will target the districts of Khushab, Sheikhupura, and Muzaffargarh.
