Saif criticizes Maryam’s private jet flight

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister’s Adviser on Information, Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, has accused Maryam Nawaz of flying to Geneva on a private jet for a holiday. He pointed out that while the people of Punjab are suffering from severe smog, Maryam and her father are enjoying fresh air in Europe.

Saif criticized the timing of the trip, stating that while Punjab grapples with hazardous smog, the political elite is indulging in luxury abroad. Reports suggest Maryam Nawaz rented a private jet packed with trunks and luggage. Saif condemned the lavishness of their spending, calling it an insult to the people of Punjab who are enduring daily disruptions caused by the pollution.

He questioned why the Sharif family, after multiple terms in office, hasn’t built hospitals in Punjab where they could receive medical treatment. Saif also noted that the province’s healthcare system is plagued by shortages of essential medicines and services, while Maryam praises the hospitals she now seems to avoid.

Additionally, Saif addressed the revival of student unions in the province, confirming that the government is taking steps to ensure their reactivation and that a meeting with student organizations will be arranged soon. He also expressed concern about the harassment of women in educational institutions and vowed the government would take action to prevent such incidents.
