Federal Minister criticizes PTI’s K-P performance

Federal Minister for States and Frontier Regions, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir Affairs, Engineer Amir Muqam, criticized Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for its failure to improve the welfare of the people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, despite serving a third consecutive term. He stated that, instead of progress, the challenges faced by the public have only increased.

Speaking at a large public gathering, Muqam emphasized that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is committed to the welfare of the people and the overall development of the country. He noted that PML-N’s leadership has the capability and determination to guide the nation towards prosperity.

Muqam also praised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for his continuous efforts to advance the country, particularly in addressing economic issues, such as reducing inflation and fostering growth in the stock market, which were key achievements of his government.

The minister condemned the political instability caused by certain elements, particularly those calling for “true freedom” and attempting to use foreign support for the release of PTI founder Imran Khan. He dismissed the idea of a National Reconciliation Ordinance under foreign influence, stressing that only the courts should decide Imran Khan’s cases.

Muqam also criticized Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Chief Minister for failing to resolve teachers’ issues, leading to wasted time for thousands of students. He urged the CM to prioritize addressing educational problems and improving the security situation in the province.

Regarding Malakand Division, Muqam highlighted the region’s suffering due to terrorism and floods, and called for rapid development. He also pointed out the PTI government’s failure to deliver on its promise to build the Dir-Chitral Motorway. In contrast, he praised PML-N for completing significant projects, such as providing gas, electricity, and road infrastructure, as well as the Nawaz Sharif Kidney Hospital in Swat, which has been a boon for the local population.
