Supreme Court Justices Mansoor Ali Shah and Munib Akhtar have asked Chief Justice of Pakistan Yahya Khan Afridi to schedule the petitions challenging the recently passed 26th Constitutional Amendment for a full court hearing this week. In a letter signed by both judges, who are part of the committee established under the Supreme Court Practice and Procedure Act (2023) to manage case assignments and bench formations, they noted that the committee had decided to hear the “constitutional petitions” regarding the judicial reforms in full court on November 4.
