Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will chair a federal cabinet meeting today at 2:30 pm, where a 16-point agenda will be discussed.
Key items on the agenda include the approval of the Hajj Policy for 2025, which has been resubmitted by the Ministry of Religious Affairs for cabinet review. The proposed government Hajj package is estimated to range from Rs 1.65 million to Rs 1.75 million, with a quota allowing 179,210 Pakistani pilgrims to take part in the Hajj.
Other topics to be addressed include the establishment of the Islamabad Central Business District Development Authority, as presented by the Ministry of Interior, and the appointment of a new chairman for the National Industrial Relations Commission (NIRC). The meeting is also expected to approve the Jammu and Kashmir State Property Budget for 2024-25.
