Pakistan waives visa fees for Sikh Pilgrims, says Interior Minister

Federal Minister for Interior and Narcotics Control, Mohsin Naqvi, announced on Thursday that Sikh pilgrims visiting Pakistan to pay homage to religious sites will no longer have to pay visa fees. The visas will be processed within just 30 minutes. While welcoming a 44-member delegation of American Sikhs, Naqvi highlighted the convenience of travel for U.S. citizens through a visa-on-arrival system, which allows for multiple visits without any hassles.

“There will be no visa fees for Sikh pilgrims, who are invited to explore not only traditional sites like Nankana Sahib, Kartarpur, and Hassan Abdal but also other areas,” Naqvi stated. He also mentioned that passport holders from the U.S., U.K., and Canada can quickly obtain visas using a streamlined online form.

Emphasizing Pakistan’s visa-free access policy for citizens from 124 countries, Naqvi expressed his hopes to welcome one million Sikh devotees. He encouraged both the Sikh community and Indian nationals to participate in the 2025 Champions Trophy in Pakistan, announcing that a special quota will be set aside for Indian and global Sikh visitors.
