Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif met with Provincial Information Minister Azma Bukhari on Thursday to announce the allocation of 3,200 plots for journalists in Lahore.
CM Maryam instructed the Information Ministry to accelerate the progress of the “Journalist Colony Phase-Two” project, emphasizing that all merits and legal requirements must be met during the allocation process.
Highlighting the essential relationship between the media and government, she described them as “two wheels of the same vehicle,” calling the project a significant step for the journalist community. The Ministry of Information Punjab plans to invite applications from journalists soon, with an official advertisement expected in the coming days.
