Fazl: No government authority in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) leader Maulana Fazlur Rahman stated on Monday that the government has lost its authority in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan due to rampant lawlessness, leaving citizens’ lives and property in jeopardy in both provinces.

Speaking at the Jamia Arabia Naumania Salihiya, he emphasized the importance of maintaining the integrity, stability, and respect of state institutions while expressing concern over the diminishing public trust in these bodies. He called for immediate action to address the situation, urging that further mistakes must be avoided to prevent serious repercussions.

Later, in a conversation with reporters, he reiterated that abolishing the interest-based financial system is not only a key part of JUI-F’s manifesto but also fundamental to Pakistan’s ideology. He expressed confidence that this goal would be realized within the specified timeframe, bringing economic benefits and prosperity to the nation.

Maulana Fazlur Rahman affirmed JUI-F’s commitment to safeguarding Islamic values and democracy while opposing dictatorship through the strong support of patriotic Pakistanis.

During his visit to the religious seminary, he met with Sheikhul Hadith Maulana Ashraf Ali and other scholars, praising their contributions to Islam and the country. Senior party members, including Engr Maulana Ziaur Rahman, Kafeel Ahmad Nizami, Maulana Qari Muhammad Umair Farooqi, Maulana Qari Ijaz Farooqi, and Muhammad Aslam, were also present.

Upon his arrival at Darul Uloom Naumania, he received a warm welcome from local leaders and religious scholars, who commended his role in the 26th constitutional amendment. The JUI-F chief also visited the home of long-time member Abdullah Shahjehan, who is currently paralyzed, and prayed for his swift recovery.
