Salman Akram Raja advocates for PTI founder’s bail, reject claims of political bargain

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Salman Akram Raja has called on the courts to grant bail to the party’s founder, similar to the relief extended to Bushra Bibi. Speaking to reporters on Monday, Raja dismissed rumors of a political deal, insisting that all actions must comply with the law.

“There is no deal; nothing significant in these cases,” he stated. Reflecting on his own legal struggles, Raja mentioned that he faced seven terrorism charges within just three weeks.

When asked about rumors suggesting that the PTI founder might back Bilawal Bhutto as the next Prime Minister, Raja firmly rejected the notion. “The PTI’s founder will not support any undemocratic actions,” he emphasized. Reinforcing the party’s position, he added, “The country has delivered its democratic verdict in favor of the PTI and its founder. We will never go against the people’s will.
