Attack on a DI Khan check post results in the martyrdom of 10 FC personnel.

Ten soldiers from the Frontier Constabulary (FC) made the ultimate sacrifice while defending their homeland in Dera Ismail Khan.

According to details provided by the Interior Ministry spokesperson, a group of terrorists launched a nighttime assault in Dera Ismail Khan, which was met with fierce resistance from the FC soldiers. During the intense firefight, ten FC personnel were martyred, and three others sustained injuries.

The spokesperson praised the bravery of the fallen soldiers, emphasizing their critical role in thwarting the attack on the check post. Of the martyred soldiers, six were from South Waziristan, while four hailed from Karak. The Ministry honored their dedication to combating terrorism and fostering peace, stating that the sacrifices of these soldiers reinforce the nation’s determination to overcome such threats.

In a related incident earlier, two Pakistan Army soldiers were also martyred, and three others were injured in a terrorist attack on an FC camp in the Muslim Bagh area of northern Balochistan. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported that the attack led to a confrontation between security forces and the terrorists, resulting in the deaths of two security personnel.

In retaliation, security forces initiated a clearance operation that successfully killed two terrorists. The operation is ongoing, with security personnel confining the remaining terrorists to a building. This commitment by the FC and the Army highlights the challenges faced by security forces in their fight against terrorism and their relentless pursuit of peace and stability in the region.
