American presidential election 2024,Trump and Biden will face each other again

Both US President Joe Biden and his predecessor Donald Trump have met the delegate thresholds necessary to secure their respective party nominations for the upcoming November election. Following primaries in four states, one American territory, and participation from Democrats living abroad, it’s confirmed that American voters will witness a rematch of the 2020 presidential election in eight months. The official nominations will take place at the party conventions scheduled for this summer.

Expressing gratitude, the 81-year-old President Biden remarked on Tuesday evening that he felt “honored” by the support for his re-election bid, particularly amidst what he views as an intensified threat posed by Trump. He highlighted positive economic trends and emphasized that the nation is amidst a resurgence, albeit facing challenges to its democratic future and pressure from advocates seeking abortion restrictions and reductions in social programs.

In his campaign statement, President Biden voiced confidence that the American people would opt to propel the nation forward. Despite ongoing concerns from some voters regarding his age and its potential impact on his presidential duties, Biden, buoyed by the advantage of incumbency, encountered no substantial challenges within the Democratic Party for the nomination.
