During the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024 match at the National Stadium in Karachi on Tuesday, March 12, tensions flared between Quetta Gladiators’ batsman Jason Roy and Multan Sultans’ all-rounder Iftikhar Ahmed. The heated exchange occurred in the 3rd over of the Quetta Gladiators’ run-chase when Roy was given out LBW by Multan Sultans’ bowler David Willey. Roy, contemplating a review, was engaged in a discussion with his batting partner, Saud Shakeel, when Ahmed intervened. Their verbal altercation led to a heated confrontation, resulting in a brief separation by Multan Sultans’ players. Unfortunately, due to the dispute, Roy missed the opportunity to take the Decision Review System (DRS), ultimately leading to his dismissal with just three runs to his name.
